US Census reports that in 1999 and 2000, Of the 105.48 million households in the United states, 12.87 million households (12.2%) are run by single parent female head of households. Twenty eight percent of those families live below the US poverty line. Solace is committed to supporting these families by providing school and activity scholarships for their children.

Children today are caught in a battle of societal values and familiy values, and very often find themselves losing. Those children in single parent families are for all intents and purposes, orphans. One necessary parent is missing, and the other finds themselves without support, help, and in dire financial crisis. So the children are left on their own, with little or no parental guidance or love.

Solace works with church communities that have strong visions for supporting and strengthening single parent families. We help with training and mentoring materials for the families and mentors, and as needed, assist in raising funds to build or provide crisis housing for the famillies. Solace primary mission to give aid and support to underprivileged children around the world for them to succeed. In the US, we assist in raising funds for the support of orphan homes, and to provide school scholarships for the children.
